November 9th 2004

• South Korea concerts. I'm in South Korea on tour with Marcus Roberts. We are performing for the 15th Eagon concert series. We are also performing two concerts with the EuroAsian Philharmonic Orchestra.

• One Sheets are now available on line. If you would like to book my band at your venue and you need a quick one page explanation about me, please use this one sheet. You can download it here.

• If you have any questions for the FAQ section, please email them to me. I am always looking for new stuff to add to the site. The chit-chat section is coming soon as well as some other free and interactive things (think video..hint hint).

• We're going to start digital downloads here on Rolandguerin.com! This is how it will work... Every month, I will pick a few songs (I don't know how many), that will be available to download for $0.89. They'll change each month. Some will be unreleased material, some will be released material. Either way it goes, they will be only available for a limited time. Cast your vote by using the form on the left to let me know which songs you want to download.

• I am creating a new section in the site called "Your Reviews". If you have any of my CDs and would like to offer your feedback, please use the form on the left. Every reviewer will recieve a free unreleased MP3 of a live performance. I look forward to hearing from all of you soon.

• I've been archiving live performances. From time to time, I will post them up so that you can see what we have been up to.

NOVEMBER 2003

• SHEET MUSIC IS FINALLY HERE! I have posted the first of several songs on the downloads page. Please feel free to print the tunes out and play them on your gigs.

AUGUST 2003

• This month, my band was really busy. We played at the Satchnmo Festival, at The Funky Butt, and at a Private Function that was recorded live to be included in a compilation CD for New Orleans Jazz Radio Station WWOZ.

• The hot air balloons came to Baton Rouge (my hometown) for a few days and we took lots of pictures. You can see those on the Snapshots page.

• Played at Marina Del Rey in Madisonville Louisiana with Chris Belleau and the Zydeco Hounds. My 2 year old son Chase even joined me on stage with the washboard! See the pictures in the Snapshots section.

• I played in Atlanta with Kent Jordan at a benefit concert called Jazz for P.E.A.C.E (Positive Education Always Creates Elevation).

JULY 2003

• We played (The Marcus Roberts Trio) with the Berlin Philhamonic this month. The concert was aired live throughout Europe (including England and Austria). It is scheduled to air worldwide (throughout China, Japan, and eventually North America via PBS). While we were there, a documentary was filmed about the Marcus Roberts Trio.

JUNE 2003

• WOW After my performance at St. Edwards Church in New Iberia, LA to my surprise, I was awarded the 2003 Bunk Johnson Jazz Ambassador Award. Thank you Bunk Fest! You can see a photo from the event on the Snapshots page.

• JUST IN... I am the featured artist on the SWR website. Read the interview here.

MAY 2003

• The new record is complete! It is a mix of old and new. I really believe that there is something for everyone. Order from this website and I will autograph the CD!

• Did you see the Marsalis Family Celebration on PBS? I was so honored to be a part of it. If you missed it and would like to order the CD or DVD, you can do so from the discography page.

APRIL 2003

• You can now buy my CD's online! My entire discography page is now up. Check out CD's I've released as a leader and CD's that I have performed on as a sideman.

• I now endorse Corelli strings. Corelli strings, to me, have proven to have superior craftmanship and quality. They also allow me to be very versatile in the various styles of music in which I play.
